With Wansfell Pike on the doorstep of our Ambleside accommodation, we plotted a visit to Stockgill Force waterfalls to warm us up!
With Wansfell Pike on the doorstep of our Ambleside accommodation, we plotted a visit to Stockgill Force waterfalls to warm us up!
Rydal Water was our destination for day 3, where we explored Rydal Cave & made our way back to White Moss Car Park via the path over the main road.
What started out as a chilly overcast day, ended up blue skies & red hot by early afternoon. Starting from the main car park at Tarn Hows, we headed down through Harry Field Wood to climb back up the other side of the stream to Tom Gill Falls before doing a loop of the tarn.
The first day of our 2 week Lakes escape had us walking from our apartment in Ambleside to Loughrigg Fell and back, via Todd Crag & Lily Tarn.
Another lockdown-influenced set of photographs, this time taken while having a beer in the back garden on a sunny, blue skies day. Almost forgetting about the highly contagious virus plaguing the globe.
During lockdown, as the weather picked up, daily walks & spending time in the garden became the norm (usually forfeit while at work). With a keen eye & a camera at the ready, the “Textures in Nature” project came to fruition…
First duties as part of the Brew Crew for Dark Farm’s Mashed Magazine was to brew up a recipe submitted by another member of the Crew!

Coronavirus lockdown. Easter weekend. That means only one thing…
After a long break from anything musical, a couple of jam sessions over Christmas saw the fourth track in the Dub Anthology come to fruition.
As festivities drew to an end, and with the inevitable thoughts of healthier lifestyles taking centre stage once again, we headed home via Brereton Heath Local Nature Reserve to kick start 2020 with a short walk surrounded by trees coated in vibrantly coloured moss!
